In the audio recording from the party, Amaya mentions being “birthday buddies” with her friend Peanut. This is because their birthdays are reversed month and day. In the Queering Clairson text chain, we can see that Peanut has the initials JR. The same as the late Jeffrey Richmond, whose birthday is helpfully listed in the newspaper. His birthday is 12/8, so Amaya’s birthday—and the code—must be 812!
